thumb | frameless | right | 300px | Samuroids Baron Katana (Earth-One) built an army of robotic Samurai warriors as revenge after World War II. Katana is based at Black Heron Castle, situated northern island of Japan. He also built a robot, Daisho. Samuroids have jet packs, indestructible armor, and electrified swords, along with being fully trained by Daisho in the art of Bushido. They were so dangerous that not even the the Flash could stop them with his power alone, at the time. During the planned attack on Japan, a discarded Samuroid was caught in a fisherman's net and was sent to Interpol, of the attention of Captain Hashi. Barry Allen was visiting Japan with his wife when they stopped by for a visit to his old friend Captain Hashi. Toshira, a local filmmaker, and a long time friend recognized the insignia on the armor as that of the Black Heron. Barry then travelled as the Flash to Black Heron Castle and was captured Hashi led a team of Black Berets to the Black Heron Castle Island, disguised as stunt men for one of Toshira's movie. The Flash defeated the Samuroids by shorting out their control center. Baron Katana then leaped from the castle into the ocean to escape. Many years later The Penguin obtained a warehouse full of unused Samuroids. They were then taken to scientist T.O. Morrow, who recognized them as his own creations. They were then upgraded with a bacteria based artificial intelligence, and the Penguin sent them to kill Bruce Wayne. They were eventually destroyed with the help of Jay Garrick. ===Appearances=== *First Appearance: The Flash Vol 1 180 (June, 1968) * The Flash Vol 1 181 (August 1968) * The Brave and the Bold Vol 3 13 (July 2008) * The Flash (2014 TV Series) Episode: The Death of Vibe * The Flash (2014 TV Series) Episode: The Flash Reborn * The Flash (2014 TV Series) Episode: Therefore I Am * The Flash (2014 TV Series) Episode: Don't Run * The Flash (2014 TV Series) Episode: Good-Bye Vibrations * The Flash (2014 TV Series) Episode: Lose Yourself * The Flash (2014 TV Series) Episode: Luck Be a Lady * Batman Vol 3 21 (June 2017) * Heroes in Crisis Vol 1 2 (December 2018) * The Flash Vol 5 63 (March 2019) * Batman Vol 3 71 (July 2019) * Wonder Woman Annual Vol 5 3 (December 2019) * Strange Adventures Vol 5 3 (September 2020)
