During the Golden Age, Clan Yashida began to come into contact with emerging threats and influences as Japan transitioned into a more modern era. The clan remained relatively insulated, but the effects of World War II began to shake the foundations of their traditional ways. [[Saburo Yoshida (Earth-616)]], a prominent member of the family, played a role in advocating for peace and rebuilding relations with the West. His efforts would influence his son [[Shiro Yoshida (Earth-616)]], who would later become known as the mutant hero Sunfire.
