Japanese Americans (usually) who were born between 1961 and 1981 are generally know on Japanifornia as Gen X Nikkei. We are a cohort group within the nikkei lineage, and share common experiences with one another, in this context, especially during our formative years in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.
I, myself, Saren, consider myself to be right in the middle of this demographic, and Japanifornia is a monument to the Gen X Nikkei culture I hold so dear.
