Problematic

The content, character or person who has been categorized as "problematic" is well below ideal. Often this person or portrait is from a time in which we were not as vigilant, or the dominant culture of the day was oppressive and/or overly ignorant. We should always strive to be better than the previous generation. We cannot forget history, we have to remind ourselves of where we came from, and so content here appears, but is labeled with this warning.

Asian Babymama: Once upon a time, a white character had a romantic tryst with an "exotic" Asian lover. This led to a child, but she kept it a secret from him.
Asian Buck Teeth: A stereotypical depiction of an Asian person, with prominent buck teeth.
Asian Cleaver Fever: Characters cooking Asian food will wield knives as though they're engaged in battle.
Asian Drivers: The stereotype that Asians can't drive.

Ching Chong: A non-Chinese (or non-East Asian) character speaks a gibberish version of the language to mock Chinese people.

Japan Takes Over the World: A future or alternate version of Japan manages world domination.
Kaiju Defense Force: A Useful Note on the Japanese "Self-Defence Force".
Mighty Whitey and Mellow Yellow: The heroic white male hero has an Asian, female, submissive love interest.
Samurai: Swordsmen in feudal Japan.
