Captain Nitsu was a naval officer of Imperial Japan operating during World War II. He masterminded the theft of a U.S. Navy ship, stranding Betty Dean and sabotaging an American destroyer in the process. Nitsu’s scheme brought him into conflict with Namor the Sub-Mariner, who sought to recover the stolen ship and rescue Betty Dean. After a deadly confrontation in the Pacific, Namor defeated Nitsu and his crew, reclaiming the ship and returning it to the U.S. Navy. Nitsu’s fate after the encounter remains unrevealed.
