Blackbeard (Japanese Spy)

Blackbeard was a Japanese spy who infiltrated the United States in 1945, donning a life-like mask and bulletproof armor to support his claim of being the legendary pirate resurrected. He rallied a gang of pirates and, using a nearly invisible aircraft, began targeting and attacking U.S. planes, attracting the attention of Miss America. After a series of aerial battles, Miss America forced Blackbeard's plane to crash and exposed the spy, turning him over to authorities. The real identity of Blackbeard remains unrevealed, and his subsequent fate is unknown. He is notable as a rare instance of a Japanese agent adopting a pirate persona in Golden Age Marvel comics.
