| After taking in Rip Jagger when the man was left unconscious as the last American soldier on an island overtaken by the Imperial Japanese, he taught him judo alongside four other new inductees to the resistance. Bushuri continued his guerilla campaign against the Japanese by aiding Rip with men and intelligence after Rip became the Judomaster.
