Codec was part of a Japanese superhero team based in Tokyo that appeared as a hologram with other Asian heroes during a meeting with Agents of Atlas leader Brawn. Codec tracked Sindr, the Queen of Cinders to Northern China with her troops but left behind a garrison in Tokyo who made sure any weapon dependent on fire would be inoperable.
