The Dragon of Death was a massive submarine constructed by Imperial Japan during World War II, designed to resemble a giant sea monster. Captained by Okada, it operated in the Pacific near Honolulu, Hawaii, and its mission was to capture U.S. Navy ships and attack the American outpost on Kuona Island. The crew plotted to trigger the island’s volcano, threaten Commander Phillips for information, and destroy the base. Captain America and Bucky intervened and, after a battle, Bucky sank the Dragon of Death, though the military later salvaged it. The submarine was eventually repurposed as a base by Hydra before its final destruction in a clash with the Invaders.
