Jakada Miller, also known as Agent X, was a Japanese spy for Imperial Japan active during World War II. In 1942, he operated in the United States, hiring jewel thief Yo Janar to steal black diamonds used by American weapons manufacturers. His plans were thwarted by the hero Father Time, who defeated Agent X’s minions, captured him, and turned both him and Janar over to the authorities.
Later, Agent X commanded a massive battleship disguised as an island. He sent fighter planes to attack American ships supplying the battle front post-Pearl Harbor. In the spring of 1942, Human Torch and Toro tracked Japanese air raids to Agent X’s secret base, defeated him, and forced a confession about ocean mines. When the ship reached the East Indies, Agent X broke free and chose death over capture, impaling himself on a soldier’s bayonet.
