The woman that would come be known as Lady Lotus was born in Japan in the final years of the 19th century and she inherited strong telepathic abilities from her mother, who guided her and helped her control her powers through meditation since childhood. Furthermore, her mother showed her that the black lotus flower called dragonsbloom could increase her powers and even prevent her from aging. After her mother's death, when Lotus was still very young, her father developed a gambling addiction and lost everything, finally losing his daughter as well. Her new guardian was Li Fong, an ambitious man who recognized her potential and had her rigorously trained in martial arts and educated in various academic subjects. However, as she grew older, he forced her to be intimate with him. As she grew, so did her powers and, by the time she was 21, she claimed to have reached enlightenment. Tired of Li Fong and Japan, she killed him with her psychic abilities and fled to the United States of America in the hopes of a better life. ===Appearances=== * Invaders Vol 1 37 (February 1979) * Invaders Vol 1 38 (March 1979) * Invaders Vol 1 39 (April 1979) * Invaders Vol 1 40 (May 1979) * Invaders Vol 1 41 (September 1979) * Avengers Spotlight Vol 1 30 (March 1990) * Avengers Spotlight Vol 1 31 * Avengers Spotlight Vol 1 32 * Avengers Spotlight Vol 1 33 * Avengers Spotlight Vol 1 34 * Avengers Spotlight Vol 1 36 * Wonder Man Vol 2 4 (December 1991) * Wonder Man Vol 2 6 * Wonder Man Vol 2 10 * Wonder Man Vol 2 11 * Wonder Man Vol 2 13 * Night Thrasher: Four Control Vol 1 2 * Wonder Man Vol 2 16 * Wonder Man Vol 2 17 * Wonder Man Vol 2 18 * Wonder Man Vol 2 19 * Wonder Man Vol 2 21 * Wonder Man Vol 2 24 * Wonder Man Vol 2 25 * Avengers Two: Wonder Man & Beast Vol 1 1 (June 2000) * Avengers Two: Wonder Man & Beast Vol 1 2 * Avengers Two: Wonder Man & Beast Vol 1 3 * Captain America: Forever Allies Vol 1 1 (October 2010) * Captain America: Forever Allies Vol 1 2 * Captain America: Forever Allies Vol 1 3 * Captain America: Forever Allies Vol 1 4 * All-New Invaders Vol 1 4 * Marvels Vol 2 1 (June 2021) * Marvels Vol 2 4 (October 2021) * Marvels Vol 2 6 (February 2022) * Marvels Vol 2 7 (March 2022) * Marvels Vol 2 8 (April 2022) * Marvels Vol 2 9 (May 2022) * Marvels Vol 2 10 (June 2022) * Marvels Vol 2 11 (July 2022) * Marvels Vol 2 12 (September 2022)
