Nippo the Nipponese is a Golden Age supervillain who appeared in Fawcett Comics during World War II and later became part of the DC Multiverse. He was a loyalist acting to further Japan’s interests during the war, bringing him into conflict with Captain Marvel. Nippo was later recruited into the Monster Society of Evil led by Mister Mind. His character reflects the era’s themes and biases; his continuity was erased during Crisis on Infinite Earths and later restored.
