Paw

Paw was an Imperial Japanese agent who masterminded the deployment of the “Mikado’s Super-Shell”—a massive cannon capable of launching explosive warheads into the stratosphere, shelling the United States from across the Pacific. In Captain America Comics #18, Paw captured American spy Betty Ross and used her to bait Captain America and Bucky into his headquarters. After tying the heroes to a shell poised to be fired at America, a dramatic escape resulted in Paw’s destruction when the heroes detonated the cannon’s explosives and fled by airplane. Paw was killed in the explosion, and his super-shell was destroyed, ending his brief but menacing threat in 1942’s wartime comics.
