Built in 1908 at 1904 Argyle, Dr. A.G.R. Schloesser built this medieval era replica of a castle four years before building the much larger Castle Sans Souci across the street. Known locally as Castle Glengarry, prior to Sessue Hayakawa buying the property in the 1920s, and renamed Argyle Castle. It was demolished in 1956, the "castle" was replaced by the Capitol Gardens Apartments.
