Maryse Guy Mitsouko

Maryse Guy Mitsouko (September 3, 1941 – March 28, 1995) was a French actress of Eurasian descent, known for her roles in European cinema during the 1960s, particularly in the spy genre.

Born Marie Guy on September 3, 1941, in the French concession of Tientsin (now Tianjin), China, Mitsouko's early years were marked by upheaval. In 1948, amid the Chinese Civil War, her mother fled with her to France, where she was placed in an orphanage upon arrival. Wikipédia, l'encyclopédie libre
Career[edit]
Mitsouko began her career as a model in Paris before transitioning to acting. She made her film debut in 1962 with a minor role in Max Pécas's "Douce Violence." She appeared in several Eurospy films, including "Agent 077 - Mission Bloody Mary" (1965), where she played Kuan, and "A 077 défie les tueurs" (1966), portraying Moira.
In the 1965 James Bond film "Thunderball," Mitsouko portrayed Mademoiselle LaPorte, a French secret service agent who assists James Bond during the pre-credit sequence. Her character is present at the funeral of SPECTRE operative Colonel Jacques Bouvar and later aids Bond in his escape using a jet pack. Although her role was brief and her voice dubbed by Catherine Clemence, this appearance remains one of her most recognized.
Personal Life[edit]
In 1965, Mitsouko married Marc Blondeau, a producer and director of Sotheby's Paris. The couple had a son, Sébastien Blondeau, before separating in the early 1990s.

Maryse Guy Mitsouko died by suicide on March 28, 1995, in Paris, France.
